Tarpanam

Mahalaya Amavasya is a special day to pay our gratitude to all our previous generations, who are the cause of our existence, life and development. Their blessings are essential for the well-being of our future generations. Remembering them and praying them in a specific way called Pitru Tarpana is the way to seek their blessings on us and our future generations. Veda Vignyana Samithi facilitates Pitru Tarpana through authentic priests at 2 best moksha kshetras Pada Gaya (Pithapuram) and Muktyala (Mukteswara Swamy Kshetra on the banks of river Krishna near Jaggayyapet) for relieving from all pitru doshas and to seek blessings of our ancestors.

Mahalaya Paksha is a 15 days period and this year it starts from 8th September, ends with Mahalaya Amavasya on Sunday, 21 September 2025. It is said to perform pitru tarpan or pinda pradaan every day during this period, or at least on the tithi day of your immediate ancestors departure, or on the Amavasya irrespective of the day they departed.
