GEETA GYAAN
Geeta Gyaan refers to the sacred knowledge and teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, one of the most revered scriptures in Indian philosophy. The term “Geeta” means “song” and “Gyaan” means “knowledge”, so together, Geeta Gyaan means “the song of divine wisdom.”
It is a spiritual guide that imparts lessons on life, duty, righteousness, and self-realization through the conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Through the SWAYAM platform, the Geeta Gyaan course helps learners understand the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita in a simple and practical way. It explains the importance of performing one’s duties selflessly (Karma Yoga), developing devotion (Bhakti Yoga), and gaining true knowledge (Jnana Yoga).
The course also explores how these teachings remain relevant in modern life—guiding individuals to face challenges with courage, clarity, and peace of mind.
Geeta Gyaan encourages learners to cultivate virtues like patience, humility, discipline, and inner strength. It teaches that real happiness lies not in material success but in spiritual balance and self-awareness.
In essence, Geeta Gyaan is a journey toward understanding the purpose of life, overcoming inner conflicts, and realizing the divine wisdom that leads to harmony, truth, and liberation.
